Some time ago, I began the process of defining MY personal style of photography. I enjoy all of it, and love sharing it all - but I really felt it was important to hone in on the work that would best represent the way I see the world. This is it. My Personal Collection.
Do you see the elements? The de-saturated colors, not quite black and white, but definitely heading that direction. Muted blue skies. Broad landscapes, often panoramas. Whispy clouds. While in the photo editing process, I always would feel a little energized when I recognized a scene that lent itself to this treatment.
Take your time as you look. Find one that draws you in and see where it takes you.
Here's what people are saying! Juliana has a print of "Wind Dancing on Trees" on her wall, and shared this with me.
When I experience your work, it comes alive for me. It’s far more than a well composed picture or pretty scenery or capturing memories. I can feel the deep swirl of emotions that you capture in the moment. Especially with the landscape pieces, I feel like it opens portals of awe and wonder of the omnipotence of the Creator - it shifts the atmosphere of the space. It seems like the lens of your camera is connected with your spirit which makes images burst forth with childlike excitement and freedom. It’s what sets you apart from others. You’re saying so much through the detail of it all. Even in the pieces that are “moody”, it still speaks volumes. It’s as if you’re expressing yourself fully yet unencumbered by words.
It’s like you’re escaping away for a bit to fully articulate your perspective. I love what you bring to the table of your craft and I hope you never stop. The world needs more portals of awe and wonder opened for them to experience the connection of Heaven and Earth. It speaks to everyone’s inner child that delights in the spectacular.
